Course Description

Covers skills that promote fitness and wellness for individuals and groups. Introduces marketing and self-promotion skills to build clientele using current industry marketing methods and strategies. Prerequisites: FT 280 or instructor approval. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Develop and implement an activity or event to promote fitness or wellness for individuals and groups.
  2. Apply effective communication strategies to promote oneself in the fitness and wellness industry.
  3. Market and promote fitness or wellness services using current industry methods and strategies.

  4. Develop, promote, and implement appropriate fitness and wellness activities for target market groups and individuals.
