Course Description
Covers prevention and management of acute and chronic injuries in a fitness setting. Explores alternative exercises for existing injuries. Prerequisites: FT 131. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Describe common exercise-related injuries, including structural and physiological causes, risk factors, and prevalence.
- Apply injury prevention and management guidelines to exercise recommendations for target client populations.
