Course Description
Introduces exercise plan development and progression for fitness and wellness. Explores communication, behavior change, and motivational strategies for client success and retention. Prerequisites: FT 104. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon completion of the course students should be able to:
- Design and modify individualized exercise plans based on assessment results, medical history, goals, preferences of the client, and industry standards.
- Apply effective communication strategies when instructing exercise and educating clients about fitness and wellness.
- Apply behavior change and motivational strategies to enhance client retention and client adherence to exercise and wellness behaviors.
