Course Description
Covers the roles and responsibilities of the paramedic student, program objectives, program terminal competencies, and introduction to paramedic level skills lab. Prerequisites: Department permission.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
- Discuss requirements for successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited paramedic program and terminal objectives to meet entry-level paramedic competency.
- Demonstrate basic (EMT) skill competency to meet the program required minimum iterations.
- Demonstrate CPR skill competency equivalent to current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
