Course Description
Covers the etiology, histopathology, and clinical manifestations of diseases and conditions of the periodontium. Explores the relationship between systemic disease, periodontal diseases and related risk factors. Prerequisites: DH 101, DH 109, DH 125.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Describe the clinical characteristics associated with periodontal health and disease.
- Describe pathological mechanisms responsible for periodontal tissue destruction.
