Course Description
Continues discussing the fundamentals of community oral health, and strategies for improving oral health outcomes in diverse populations through implementation of student-designed community outreach projects. Covers topics including program evaluation, public health careers and promotion of dental hygiene in public health. Prerequisites: DH 250, DH 252.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Implement and evaluate an oral health program for a community population.
- Explore communication with various populations, with an emphasis on cultural humility.
