Course Description

Continues to provide instruction on advanced strategy and tactics for success in an elite competitive basketball environment. Individual skill development, small-side and full-sided team play are used to develop an in-depth understanding of the methodologies of successful basketball participation in a collegiate environment.

Addendum to Course Description

Existing members of the basketball program will be provided with practice gear and laundry service each day.  Students in the class that are trying to earn their way into the program are required to supply their own clothing. Clothing should be loose and comfortable fitting for exercise. Shoes are mandatory and should be designed for basketball.  Loose jewelry including necklaces, hoops (nose, ear or otherwise) that could catch on clothing or otherwise are prohibited.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an advanced level of physical conditioning through basketball play.
  2. Apply advanced skills, tactics and strategy to play basketball successfully at the collegiate level.

  • Perform Warm Up and Cool Down
  • Ball Handling vs an Opponent for 5+ Dribbles

  • Complete contested pass to a guarded teammate on the move vs an Opponent
  • Execution of Advanced Strategy and Tactics in conjunction with teammates
