Course Description

Introduces professional techniques for generating vector graphics and imagery. Includes templates, layers, tools and efficient construction techniques used by graphic designers.

Addendum to Course Description

A grade of a "B" or higher is required for placement into the second year of the program.

Intended Outcomes for the course

 Upon completion of the course students should be able to:

  • Precisely draw vector elements for use in professional communication materials.
  • Utilize the software to create vector-based layouts demonstrating professional graphic design principles.
  • Prepare vector files to align with industry standards.

  • Design and print an oversized document that utilizes shape and typography.
