Course Description
Introduces the developmental process of children as they explore artistic materials. Examines various types of artistic expression, including the difference between developmentally appropriate experiences and product focused activities. Audit available.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
- Identify and describe the developmental process of artistic exploration in early childhood.
- Articulate the basic components of developmentally appropriate art activities.
- Explain the various forms of artistic exploration in childhood.
