Course Description

Covers basic pathology with emphasis on oral pathology and systemic disease of the oral tissues and oral environment. Integrates clinical features, histopathology, and treatment modalities.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:

  1. Accurately describe oral lesions.
  2. Differentiate oral lesions including clinical and radiographic features, treatment, and prognosis.
  3. Integrate oral pathology findings into assessment and treatment planning processes.
  4. Analyze oral pathology cases and recommend appropriate interventions based on the unique characteristics of oral lesions presented.
