Course Activities and Design

A brief review of selected topics in arithmetic and elementary algebra will be followed by intensive treatment of more advanced topics in algebra. The class activities will include lectures (questions are invited), students problem solving at the chalkboards and frequent tests. Homework is assigned and required.
Grades will be based on tests, homework, class participation and on other student performances as detailed by the instructor during the first week of class.
Evaluation:
At the discretion of the instructor based upon homework, test scores, and final examination.
