Course Description

Builds supervisors' skills in communication, emotional intelligence, coaching, feedback, accountability, conflict management, and decision-making through case studies and workplace application.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Analyze personal leadership behaviors and emotional intelligence competencies to identify strengths and opportunities for growth.
Apply effective communication strategies to navigate difficult conversations with employees and peers.
Apply coaching and feedback techniques to promote employee growth, accountability, and performance.
Apply conflict-management strategies to resolve workplace disagreements and strengthen team relationships.
Create a personal leadership philosophy and action plan that integrates emotional intelligence, communication, coaching, trust-building, and conflict-management practices.
