Course Description

Provides hands-on learning for PX1 engineers and supervisors to build financial fluency by evaluating cost drivers, yield and margin impacts, ROI and payback, and prioritizing improvement projects for Project Hidden Figures.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Identify where cost is introduced using actual PX1 process flows and cost drivers.
Analyze how yield, defects, and variability affect margin in the PX1 environment.
Evaluate real or representative capital investments using ROI and payback methods.
Apply cost insights to improve day-to-day operational decision-making.
Prioritize competing projects and develop a concise business case, problem statement, proposed solution, expected value, costs, assumptions, risks, and recommended decision.
