Course Description
Trains industrial lift operators to operate forklifts safely, skillfully, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participants will earn Forklift Training Certification and demonstrate the ability to follow all relevant safety standards and operational requirement.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA-required safe operating practices for powered industrial trucks, including pre-operation inspections and basic operating controls.
Operate a powered industrial truck in a safe manner by performing basic maneuvers such as starting, stopping, steering, and load handling.
Identify workplace hazards and unsafe conditions related to powered industrial truck operation and describe appropriate actions to comply with OSHA safety requirements.
