Course Description
This course covers welding processes, safety, equipment, and key variables of operation, while building instructional skills to support student learning and success.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to:
Apply welding lab safety practices, including proper PPE use, safe tool and equipment handling, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area.
Operate the oxy-fuel welding and cutting systems in accordance with industry standards
Demonstrate correct setup and shutdown procedures for the hand cutting and track cutting systems.
Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver effective welding instruction, incorporating safety standards, welding techniques, and adult learning principles to support student skill development.
