Course Description

Yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics for daily living. Understand ancient Indian life knowledge and the 8 limbs of yoga. Observe and practice concentration, meditation and concepts of Samadhi. Understand the formation of imbalanced conditions and the best time of day for best results with Asana and Yoga Kriyas. Focus on Patanjali's Yamas and Niyamas. Course covers ethics of yoga student/teacher and boundaries.

Intended Outcomes for the course

1. Able to sequence yoga classes, and incorporate adjustment techniques. Able to teach
breathing practices, Mudra and Bandha.
2. Understand Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras Chapters One and Two. Plan referral management.
3. Apply concepts of Kleshas to current concepts of equity, inclusion, social justice and conflict
resolution.
