Course Description
This module reviews the situational risks toxic and hazardous materials exposures and for environmental exposure injuries. You will explore the unique assessments and interventions for these problems that are more often encountered in remote settings.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Participants who successfully complete this course will be able to:
1. outline the components of a rapid assessment and the appropriate interventions and pharmacologic agents for patient with cold or heat related injuries, altitude or diving related injuries.
2. outline the components of a rapid assessment and the appropriate interventions and pharmacologic agents for patient with toxic and/or hazardous material exposures.
3. identify specific management for potential complications.
