Course Description

Covers the study of specific herb properties, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbalism, the Respiratory, Urinary and Nervous systems, Preparations, Plant Chemistry, and Integrated Healing: Vitamins and Minerals. Extensive electronic materials provided.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe and use at least 10 specified selected herbal preparations in a professional setting, from term content
Describe herbal supports for at least 10 different pathologies for each of the respiratory, nervous and urinary systems
State relevant clinical details and design an herbal protocol role for at least 20 pathologies from each category of Western, Ayurvedic and Chinese herbs defined for the term
Describe the basic structure of Ayurvedic herbal philosophy
