Addendum to Course Description

The Professional Pilot course will provide students who choose the non-instructor route the flight time and experience to help them acquire a job in aviation. Advanced aircraft operation, instrument skills, and other areas covered earlier in the program will be refined. Standards in the aviation industry will be implemented throughout the training. This course is intended to build experience, and does not lead to a certificate or rating, and is not part of an FAA 141-approved Training Course Outline. It will not be eligible for use with Veterans' educational benefits.

The following hours of training are required to meet the outcomes for this course, and will be provided by PCC's contracted flight training provider under PCC supervision.  Outcomes will be assessed by written, oral and practical (flight) tests. Flight training fees for this class are based on these hours. Rates, and total flight fees are located on the department web site at www.pcc.edu/fly.
