BP 2716 Board of Directors Political Activity
Members of the Board of Education and employees shall not use the college’s funds, services, supplies, or equipment to urge the passage or defeat of any ballot measure, initiative petition or candidate, including, but not limited to, any candidate for election to the Board of Directors.
The Board shall refrain from taking any position either for or against any local, state or national issue or legislative concern unless that concern is of special interest to the welfare of the college. The Board shall consider and adopt legislative priorities prior to each regular session of the Legislature.
The Board of Directors may, by resolution, express the Board of Directors position on ballot measures.
This policy replaces B202 Board Operations and Bylaws: Board Position on Legislative Matters.
