This woodcut was made from a painting done on site in downtown Portland along the Willamette between the Broadway and Fremont Bridges. The painting was made in the daytime, but the woodcut is a night scene, with minimal lines and lots of inked block. It was produced as an edition for the annual print exchange at the Pacific Northwest College of Art where Andres was also teaching at that time.
