For many years, Robert Dozono has included garbage in his paintings—things that can't be easily recycled. In his large-scale paintings such as No Garbage, painted along the Clackamas River, Dozono comments on the desecration of our landscape. As he notes, "I think we don't respect or take enough responsibility for our natural environment." Dozono received his MFA from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He taught at PCC from 1973 until his retirement in 2001.
