This painting was made in 2000 when Andres was nominated as the featured artist for the annual ArtBeat festival, a 30-year district-wide arts celebration, which came to an end in 2015 due to budget cuts. The painting was made on-site at the bluff of the University of Portland overlooking the Swan Island shipyards. The two tankers represent the two past millennia, and the tugboat is the beginning of the new millennium.
