Policies and procedures

The following guidance outlines the ways in which PCC honors our commitment to ensure equal access for students who experience disability.

Service animal policy

Guide dogs

Our service animal policy ensures that students, employees, and guests who have service animals can participate in and benefit from PCC services, programs, and activities. It also ensures that PCC does not discriminate on the basis of disability as identified in Titles I and II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act or state anti-discrimination laws.

Releasing information

  • Complete this fillable release form if you want your personal support people to communicate with Accessible Ed & Disability Resources. Please send the completed form to us from your PCC email.
  • Students who want to allow multiple departments to communicate with someone else can follow these instructions to log into MyPCC, then from the Home Tab go to the “Quick Links” section and choose “Consent to Release.”
  • Students can request a copy of the disability documentation they submitted to PCC by making a request via their PCC email account. If requests are made at one of our campus locations in person, please be sure to bring photo ID.

Resolving accommodation concerns

PCC supports you and your right to request and receive appropriate adjustments. Our process for resolving accommodation concerns outlines the way we work to address questions and concerns, and to ensure the college honors our requirements for student access as outlined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended.

Students who feel they have been discriminated against or harassed on the basis of disability can use the online option for reporting incidents.
