Tuition and Fees

Student Financial Responsibilities

You are expected to attend all classes in which you are enrolled. If you do not attend or stop attending classes and fail to personally drop by the drop deadline you will be responsible for all tuition and fees. You are responsible to pay all charges on your account by the payment due date, even if you do not receive a bill, or your account is being paid by another party. Unless you pay immediately at the time of registration, you are entering into a student loan with the college, which is non-dischargeable under USC ยง 523 (a). You are responsible for keeping PCC informed of any address or telephone changes. If you are under 18 years of age, you are liable for any charges incurred in accordance with ORS 348.105. If your account is referred for collection you agree to pay all reasonable collection and attorney fees, including those incurred at trial and on appeal.

If you are unable to attend, remember to drop your classes (including wait listed classes). Tuition charges will be removed only if your drop is received by the published drop deadline.

Note: If you register using MyPCC, your schedule and bill will only be available online.

Tuition Discounts for Older Adults

If you are 62 or over when classes begin, you are eligible to receive a 50 percent tuition discount on both credit and non-credit classes. The tuition discount does not apply to lab and other class fees, out-of-state tuition or CEU (continuing education unit) classes. Stop by any campus business office or call 503-977-4234 to request the tuition discount. Once it is set up, there is no need to request it again. The discount will be applied to your account the day after you register and may be viewed online via MyPCC.

Limited grants are also available to Oregon residents age 62 or over who are unable to afford these reduced tuition rates. Grants do not cover lab or other fees, and are not available if you are enrolled in a degree or certification program. To apply for a grant, contact Neal Naigus at 503-977-4122. Submit your approved grant authorization to any campus business office during registration.
