Hours of Operation

GoPrint™ Printing

Orientation and Account Activation

Each year, students need to complete an online orientation on any computer at a Computer Resource Center or PCC library to establish a lab login. This is the same login and password students will use for GoPrint printing. Only currently enrolled students are eligible to take the orientation and create a login.

Each term, students will need to re-activate their accounts using the "Update Account" button on the screen. Once activated, the CRC account is valid for the CRC and library at any PCC campus for the duration of the term.

Workstations & Software

The Sylvania CRC has the computers and software to support most students' academic needs. There are 112 Dell Optiplex 760 and 7 Apple Intel iMac computers available for student use.

Instructors can now use MyPCC to request software installations in the CRC. The TSS Project Request form is located in the Employee tab at the bottom of the Tools channel. Software installation only take place between terms and must be requested well in advance of the end of the term.

Tutoring in the CRC

Tutoring for CAS students is available in the CRC most weekdays. (CAS tutoring is also available in theSS-202 lab and CS/CIS tutoring is available in the TCB labs). Please see the Sylvania Computer Technology Department web page for the current tutoring schedules.

Working at the Sylvania CRC

Each term, the Sylvania CRC hires Lab Assistants to help in the CRC and other computer labs around campus. We need people with good customer service skills as well as a knowledge of the computer programs and systems (MyPCC, Desire2Learn, etc.) in use here at PCC. You can download an application form in Excel format or as an Acrobat PDF and return it to the CRC before the end of any term. We now accept applications from work study students throughout the term. The PCC Financial Aid web site has information on the Federal Work-Study Program.
