Week 6 homework (July 27 and 29, 2026)
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, July 27, 2026:
1. Student Book page 57. Read the blue grammar box about too much/many and not enough. Then look at Exercise B and make notes about things you like and don’t like about where you live. You’ll use this information in a group activity in class on Wed., Jul7 29, 2026.
2. (if you’re not finished) Listening about Montana: Student Book pages 58 & 59, Exercises C & D. Listen to the audio about Montana (<– click here). Try Exercises C & D. Complete the exercises in your student book, or, for extra writing practice (recommended!), copy the exercises into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class this week.
3. Watch the video about Death Valley <– Click here. Make notes of new vocabulary. We’ll read and talk about this information in class this week and next week.
Homework from class Wednesday, July 29, 2026:
1. Student Book page 60, Exercises A & C. Try Exercise A. Read & listen (<– audio here) to the text about Death Valley, then try Exercise C. We’ll check the answers in class.
2. Watch the video about Death Valley <– Click here. Make notes of new vocabulary. We’ll read and talk about this information in class this week and next week.
3. Handout: Practice with too and enough <– Click here for the handout from class. You can complete the exercise on the handout, or, for extra writing practice (recommended!), copy the sentences into your notebook. We’ll check the answers in class.
4. Extra (optional) reading practice: Mount Hood <– Click here. Read the online article about Mount Hood and try the exercises at the bottom of the page. If you like the story, click on CONTENTS at the top left of the page and choose another article to read. All the articles are about beautiful natural areas in Oregon.
