Week 4 homework (July 13 and 15, 2026)
Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, July 13, 2026:
1. Student Book page 52. Review the pronunciation exercises about syllabus and stress, plus listen again to Exercise E about the map.

- Audio for Student Book page 52, Exercise E
2. Workbook pages 20 & 21, Exercises A, B & C. Complete the exercises in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences and questions into your notebook (recommended). We’ll check your answers in class on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
3. Workbook page 25 — Reading about Alaska and Hawaii. Read the information about Alaska and Hawaii. You can also read and listen 🎧 (<– click here). Try Exercise J. We’ll talk more about this in class.
4. Vocabulary — geographic features <– Please continue to study these words. We’ll use these words in class while we study Unit 4. You will have a quiz over them on Monday, July 20, 2026.
5. Continue to practice the questions & answers that we learned in class:
- “Using Social Language” handout (with the faces)
- Practice the clarification questions (small pink slip)
Homework from class Wednesday, July 15, 2026:
1. Study for your quiz: Vocabulary — geographic features <– Please continue to study these words. You will have a quiz over them on Monday, July 20, 2026.
2. Student Book page 54. Read and study the blue grammar box and try Exercise A. We’ll talk about this in class next Monday, July 20, 2026.
3. Workbook page 22, Exercise D. Complete the exercise in your workbook, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences and questions into your notebook (recommended). We’ll check your answers in class on Monday, July 20, 2026.
4. Workbook pages 24 & 25 — Complete the exercises in your workbook. The audio links are below. For Exercise I, please also write the questions in your notebook (like a dictation). We’ll check your answers in class on Monday, July 20, 2026.
