Kevin Lien is an instructor at PCC, Rock Creek Campus. Kevin holds a B.S. from Stanford University, a M.S. from Portland State University. and a M.A. from the University of Portland. He has been teaching since 1990 in the following subject areas: Anatomy and Physiology, General Biology, Human Development, Microbiology and Environmental Science. Kevin is an avid hiker, birdwatcher, reader and gardener.

Tom Robertson joined the PCC-Rock Creek faculty in 1995 after spending 9 years as an Environmental Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He received his Ph.D. from Iowa State Univ. in watershed ecology, M.S. from University of Minnesota in environmental biology and B.S. from Ohio State University in natural resource management. He has traveled and studied extensively, especially in Central America and Australia. He teaches environmental sciences, forest biology, marine biology, and freshwater biology. He is involved in backpacking, SCUBA, sailing, bicycling, cross country skiing/snowshoeing, sea kayaking, international travel, and most importantly he is an avid naturalist.

Cathie Pake, Ph.D.

Cathie Pake teaches majors and non-majors general biology and environmental science courses. She has been teaching at Rock Creek since 1996. She received her Bachelor's degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1980 and completed a Master's degree in 1986 from the University of Minnesota. Her Master's thesis involved a year in Thailand studying the Medicinal Ethnobotany of Hmong Refugees.She received her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona (1993) where she studied the Ecology of the Sonoran Desert Annual Plants. Her hobbies include hiking, cross country- skiing, and botanizing.
