  • In this conversation, Aimie and Todd talk about how life was different when they were young.  They use two verb phrases a lot…
    • used to + verb
    • would + verb
  • These are both ways to say you did things regularly in the past, but you don’t do them anymore.
    • ex.  I used to play on the volleyball team in high school.   (I don’t play on a volleyball team now.)
    • ex.  My grandma would watch us after school.   (She often watched us.  She doesn’t watch us now).
