1. Conjunctions
- Click on 10 locks. Write the correct conjunction (and, but, or, so) to complete the sentences.
- Look at the periods and commas and decide if the sentences are correct. There are 9 sentences. You only need to do the top.
2. Dictations
- Listen to these dictation sentences. Pay attention to the conjunctions. Do you need a comma or not?

3. Reading Fluency
- This activity will help you read and speak more fluently (quickly and clearly).
- You will read the story out loud 3 times at the same time as the recordings. Each recording gets faster. You will see the blue boxes below the story. When you finish reading 3 times, you should answer the comprehension questions.
- Link to the story “A Great Day for a Drive.” Pay close attention to pronouncing the -ed endings correctly.

4. Choice
- Practice the past tense verbs for Week 8 on Quizlet.
- Read about one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon: the Painted Hills in eastern Oregon. Answer the comprehension questions at the bottom.
- Practice saying large numbers in Quizlet.
