Workshops and Programs

The Center sponsors several workshops and programs including:

  • A self-defense workshop
  • Scholarship and financial aid informational sessions
  • A women's health fair
  • Women's history month activities
  • New Directions - New Directions is a tuition free 4 credit class designed to assist women in making decisions about their future. The goal is college preparedness and career readiness both with a goal of self sufficiency. On-going support is offered after completion of the class. The class is offered fall, winter and spring terms. Topics covered include:
    • Self-confidence building
    • Values clarification
    • Career and personality assessments
    • Career research
    • Informational interviewing
    • Time, stress, and money management
