Workshops and Programs
The Center sponsors several workshops and programs including:
- A self-defense workshop
- Scholarship and financial aid informational sessions
- A women's health fair
- Women's history month activities
- New Directions - New Directions is a tuition free 4 credit class designed
to assist women in making decisions about their future. The goal is college
preparedness and career readiness both with a goal of self sufficiency. On-going
support is offered after completion of the class. The class is offered fall,
winter and spring terms. Topics covered include:
- Self-confidence building
- Values clarification
- Career and personality assessments
- Career research
- Informational interviewing
- Time, stress, and money management
