The Women’s Resource Center is dedicated to providing a supportive, comfortable, and safe environment to all PCC students. The Center offers programs to support the personal and academic growth of students. It also provides ties to other student support services and community-based social services.

Project Independence

Single parents, displaced homemakers, and women returning to college can take advantage of Project Independence. This tuition free program provides information and access to a variety of educational and training opportunities on the road to becoming economically self sufficient. New classes begin each fall, winter, and spring terms. Call the Women's Resource Center at 503-978-5249 for program orientation dates.

On-going activities provided by Project Independence include academic advising, placement assistance, student support services and community resource referrals. Students are continuously helped with identifying and removing barriers, which impede their success.
