Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.

1. Student Book pages 14 & 15 <– Click here for images of the pages. Please read the story about Sandra on page 14. On page 15, try Exercises B and C. We’ll continue this activity in class tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, 2026.
2. Grammar practice: BE verb or no BE verb? <– Click here for the handout I gave you in class. Look at the examples. Finish each sentence with the correct BE verb (is, am or are) or an action verb with -s or no -s. You can complete the exercise on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences into your notebook. We’ll check your answers in class tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, 2026.

1. Study for clarification question dictation. On Monday, September 28, you’ll have a dictation of some of the questions from the pink slip we created in class with clarification questions. Please study these questions and practice doing a dictation with a friend or family member.

2. Grammar handouts: Using simple present (Links below.) Complete the exercises. You can complete the exercise on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the sentences into your notebook.
