When we came to Oregon, we did not feel like outsiders. I needed a fresh start. My mom risked everything she had to bring me to the US. My parents had a dream to help me find a better future here. I'm here to be a helping hand. We are missing kindness in our culture. My parents brought me here for a better future. No one deserves to live in fear. My father had to walk 125 kilometers to a refugee camp.
