Continuous Classes

Current Events

Bring in an article about something from the local paper, from a national publication or from something you heard on television.

  • Topics are listed for all to see.
  • The moderator selects one and the discussion begins.
  • Raise your hand to comment.

The moderator calls on people which keeps even a lively discussion orderly and helps assure everyone gets a chance to have their say. The group will discuss it with no conditions except respect and civility. The discussion can get exciting and it’s always spirited! Many members regularly attend more than one location.

The Current Event discussions continue through the year.
