Welcome to the Child Development Center at Portland Community College. The Center is located in the Health Technology building on the Sylvania campus.
This center is licensed by the State of Oregon Child Care Division and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our classrooms are staffed with qualified and trained teachers, practicum students, and student support to maintain the teaching ratios listed in the table below.
This is a unique early education facility that provides developmentally and culturally appropriate care for infants through preschool age children Monday through Saturday, as well as evening care. The center is planned and staffed to provide a training facility for early childhood education students. The students have the opportunity to apply early childhood best practices in the classroom with children and families.
