Last Community Education class I took:
Yoga
My favorite winter activity:
Read, knit and study something new through Community Ed.
My favorite quote:
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt

Winter is a perfect time to take classes in Community Education. Our classes provide opportunities to learn new skills, while meeting new people in our communities.

This term we added an “Introduction to Self-Publishing” class with an experienced publisher who will cover the best options for publishing and avoiding scams. Students will also study the mechanics of manuscript preparations, cover page design, publishing, distribution and marketing. This is a great opportunity for those who have been thinking of doing-it-yourself projects.

Another new and exciting class under Unique and Specialty Art is “Classical Animation” where students will learn the principles for creating hand-drawn character animation. They will discover ways technology can aid the animation process.

For those who have always wanted to know how perfume is made, Miriam Vareldzis is definitely an expert. She will teach, “The Art of Perfumery”. Students will experience custom blending perfume and will create and take home their own private blend under the guidance of a professional.

Have fun learning and we love that you are part of our community.

See you in class!
