PCC Education Abroad Program Opportunities
Students enrolled at Portland Community College have the opportunity to participate in a variety of education abroad program options. Programs fall into three general categories: PCC-managed programs, fully-funded summer programs, and programs offered through our Dual Enrollment/Co-Admission agreement with Portland State University. To learn about each of these options and the specific programs offered, visit our programs page.
Scholarships and financial aid you receive as a PCC student can be applied to the costs of studying abroad; in addition, special scholarships specifically for study abroad are available. For details please visit our Scholarships and Financial Aid page.
Applications for the 6 PCC Faculty-Led programs taking place this summer (2017) are due on February 14!
Check out our pages on Diversity & Identity, where you'll find information on taking into consideration various aspects of identity while preparing to study abroad.
Feel free to stop by any of the following events for advising on the study abroad process. The "Application Parties" we're holding on each campus are taking place two weeks before the Faculty-Led Program applications are due (on 2/14); we will be there with snacks and assistance with the application and any questions or concerns you may have.

The first step to studying abroad is to attend a General Information Session or have a general advising meeting. During the academic year, at least one session is held on each PCC campus (see below for dates and times). During the summer, we hold one-on-one general advising meetings by appointment. At these meetings you will learn about programs, scholarships, and the application processes, as well as have time for individual questions.
For additional information, or to make an advising appointment, contact an education abroad advisor, Ali Garfinkle or Liz Sinclair, at extension 7117 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
See above for upcoming advising sessions and events on your campus.
