Lend your voice and stand with Portland Community College at the 2017 PCC Day at the Capitol!
Monday, February 27, 2017
Oregon State Capitol Building, Salem, Oregon
8:30am to 4pm
Registration for this event is now closed.
Join us in Salem for PCC's Day at the Capitol for your chance to tell your "PCC story" to legislators and thank them for investing in higher education.
As the largest institution of higher education in the state, PCC creates opportunities for nearly 90,000 students each year – many of whom are the first in their families to attend college. If your life has been changed by PCC, we hope you’ll come and share your experiences with our state government.
Free transportation will be provided to the Capitol from the Sylvania Campus and back.
Schedule of events
7:30am: For those who need transportation, the PCC Day at the Capitol buses will depart from the Sylvania Campus shuttle bus area outside the TCB building. (You'll be able to indicate if you’d like to ride on the bus when you register.)

Call for musical entertainment
Are you a musical group interested in providing entertainment for Day at the Capitol?
Each year, PCC invites 1-2 musical groups to provide musical entertainment at the beginning of legislative sessions. This is an opportunity to share your music with our state government, and to help represent the diversity and creativity of PCC students!
After the performance, we invite your group to stay for the day's events and participate in our off-site luncheon, or we can make arrangements for a bus to take your group back to PCC.
Apply to perform at the 2017 Day at the Capitol by February 6. You will be contacted no later than February 17 if your application is accepted.
