21844 Ink Drawing with Watercolor Washes Supply List
April 12th – June 7th
Fridays, 1:30-3:50pm
Experiment with ink and watercolor. Practice basic ink drawing skills, and investigate the particularities of using a technical pen versus using a quill. Explore your own style while combining media.

Required items NOT included in the kit are:
- Letter size clip wooden clipboard: (9”x12”) Dollar Store
- Masking tape
- One or Two Plastic Tubs for Water: 32oz. empty yogurt containers work great!
- Paper towels
- Optional supplies: scissors, a plastic plate (for paint mixing) and an apron
Students will receive more information about the class one week prior to the start date.
If you choose not to get the kit, here’s the supply list:
- Watercolor Paper, 140lb, hot press, approx. 9”x12”, 12-24 sheets
- Inexpensive sketch book
- Clipboard or pressed board (students will tape their paper to this board)
- Masking Tape (artist or dollar store)
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Paper Towels
- 2 Plastic tubs for water (32oz. empty yogurt containers work great)
- 2 or 3 Brushes: #8 or 10 Round Watercolor Brush and ¾” or 1” Flat Watercolor Brush (Buy synthetic or synthetic blend)
- Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Compact Set (If you have your own watercolors, you will not need this)
- Waterproof Black India Ink, 2oz.
- Sakura Micron Pens, Assorted Sizes, Black – Set of 3: 25mm, .35mm and .45mm (Other brands are fine as long as it is waterproof ink)
- Scissors
Optional supplies: a white plastic plate (for extra paint mixing space), an apron and a hairdryer.
