More Ways to Practice English:

  • Use a good online English-English dictionary, and not just Google Translate.  Many words in English have more than one meaning.  The dictionary will also help you learn parts of speech, spelling, and pronunciation.  My favorites are Learner’s Dictionary and Longman Dictionary.
  • Use the library websites.  The PCC library has so many books and resources for students learning English.  You can also borrow a computer from the library or use library computers.  The public libraries (Multnomah County, Washington County, Clark County, Clackamas County) also have many books and resources for English learners.  All libraries are free!  Also, many libraries have free printing.
  • Change the language settings on your phone and computer to English.  How many times a day do you look at your phone?  You have many opportunities to learn more English!
