State Senator Rob Wagner & Laurie Cremona Wagner
We share a passion for supporting students at PCC and are long-time supporters. As a vice president for a worldwide technology company, Laurie volunteers as the co-chair of PCC’s business advisory committee and a member of PCC’s computer information systems committee – helping PCC connect students’ career and educational opportunities to business and industry in Oregon. Before his election to the State Senate, Rob worked for six years at Portland Community College, helping guide districtwide community engagement and serving as the Executive Officer to the PCC Foundation.
With four teenagers and family members who are teachers and faculty, education and workforce development are foundational values in our family. Through our work with PCC, we have met the most inspiring students, some struggling with housing and food insecurity, or facing challenges with employment or childcare and still, they are working so hard to complete their degrees.
We became Champions for Opportunity to help PCC students to follow their hearts on their pathway to opportunity. Equitable student success is at the heart of the mission of PCC and in this time of recovery in our region, we need students from all backgrounds to realize a bright future.
