1)  Introductions & Welcome

 

2)  EAC Informational Items:

 

  • 3-4 credit conversion approved by EAC: “The EAC recommends that the college make the 3-4 credit conversion for Lower Division Collegiate Courses by Fall 2006”.

Issues to be discussed this academic year by EAC, Degrees and Certificates, Policy, and Curriculum and Student Development Committees:

 

  • Change of degree requirements to reflect 4 credit Gen Ed courses
  • Pre-requisites for Lower Division Collegiate courses (WR, RD, MTH prereqs)
  • 5-year competency rule for math and writing competency

 

SDC needs to discuss the impact on students, how to best implement the changes, how to notify students about changes, find out how other colleges have managed similar changes, etc.

 

The Policy Committee needs student services members.  Contact Porter Raper (praper@pcc.edu), Policy Committee Chair, if you are interested (or refer someone you know). 

 

3)  Student Rights and Responsibilities Revisions – Craig Kolins & Mary Severson

 

4)  Policy re: underage-children on campus – need reps to work with Guy Sievert & Public Safety

 

5)  Financial Services Information – Dee Wilson

 

  • eBilling & Enhanced Payment Options for students.

 

  • Proposed syllabus language:  Request for the committee to approve a paragraph to be added to all syllabi and to present it to the EAC.  Craig Kolins will be taking it to some of the SACCs.

 

6)  Title III MyPCC update – Rebecca Mathern

 

7)  Standards of Academic Progress – 1 year suspension
