Proposals: Part-time Faculty Voting Rights
The committee is exploring the potential of strengthening the language of the Academic Policy Handbook section pertaining to part-time voting: "Each SAC will make a recommendation regarding voting rights for part-time instructors in the SAC to the Dean of Academic Services." Other than the possibility of changing the language, the committee may also vote to have the Dean communicate the need for SACs to comply with the current language in the Handbook (as of now, there has been very little compliance).
