EAC Degrees and Certificates Committee
About the committee
The Degree and Certificate Committee is a subcommittee of the Educational Advisory Council (EAC). It makes recommendations to the EAC on issues pertaining to the college's degrees and certificates, including compliance with degree requirements mandated by the regional accrediting society, the State System of Higher Education and its committees and policies, and policies particular to PCC, as well as on the role general education, basic competencies, and course distribution play in degree and certificate course requirements. The committee also oversees the college's residency and degree completion requirements and deliberates and makes recommendations on requests for exceptions to the above policies where feasible. The overall academic and program integrity of the college's degrees and certificates is the committee's first responsibility.
