3. Computer vocabulary & terms for this class — Review the Keyboard & talk more about the Computer

4. Online exercises

a)  Practice with polite requests <– This is a “live” worksheet.  You need to finish all of the exercises before you can check your answers at the bottom (FINISH, then CHECK ANSWERS).

b)  Questions, affirmative & negative simple present <– This page has many exercises to choose from.  When you finish an exercise, please check your answers and repeat the exercise.  Then click the back arrow (<–) or close the tab (for some pages), and select another exercise to try.

  • How to Make Polite Requests at Work | English Conversation Skills Note:  This video is on Youtube, so you need to SKIPS ADS. This video introduces some more advanced, but still very common, ways to ask for help at work.  It gives a lot of good examples.

b)  Reading: News articles about Oregon <– Click here for articles about interesting things in Oregon.  All the articles have audio and exercises.  Click on “Contents” on the left and select an article to read & listen to. (See image below.)
