Black India Ink.

OTHER MATERIALS FOR PAINTERS:

-gloves (thin rubber)

-oil/acrylic brushes (do not get watercolor brushes): #12 Bright, #12 Filbert, #6 Filbert, #2

filbert, rounds-one small, one medium

-metal palette knife (NOT plastic)

-one 16 oz. container of acrylic gloss or matte medium

-one tube of drying retardant

-one drawing pencil

-one drawing pad or notebook (at least 5×7 in.)

-one kneaded eraser

-one package of vine charcoal (medium or soft)

-many cotton rags

-container for water

-one roll of 3/4″ width masking or blue painter’s tape

-paper palettes (it’s a pad of wax paper like sheets that can be torn off and thrown out—get the

size to fit your palette) OR reusable palette

-plastic spray bottle (very important!)

-scrapers, plastic or rubber, at least 3 inches in width (can be purchased at paint supply stores like

Miller Paints, home supply stores, Fred Meyer, etc.)

-supports – depending on the assignment (gessoed paper, canvas sheets or boards, stretched and

primed canvases, firm supports (wood, etc.))

-optional – several plastic containers with lids for mixing and saving paint (can save money on

paints)
