PCC First Year College Glossary
- Apply: To fill out an application: “I am going to apply to PCC by creating my admissions account and filling out my profile.”
- Enroll: To become a college student by applying and having your application successfully processed; “I am planning to enroll at PCC this week and next week I will register for classes.”
- On-board: To have completed the necessary steps required in order to register for classes and to successfully register for class: “I want to on-board by completing the orientation, receiving placement, planning my first term and registering for classes.”
- Register: Usually means “act of enrolling” but in college it means to add yourself to a class; “I intend to register for ART140, because I am interested in photography.”
