Here are the slides. We reviewed classroom vocabulary and plurals. We talked about some new ways to talk about if something is in our classroom or not with “there is/there are”. We also did Karaoke Friday with Feeling Good by Nina Simone. At the end of class, there was a quiz about classroom vocabulary. If you were not in class today, you can take the quiz on Monday.
Please come to class everyday and do your homework. Make time to practice English everyday.
It is midterm time. I will e-mail you your course progress so far.
Homework
1. Do late work. See my website for links to slides and homework papers.
2. English in Action 2: Unit 1 Student Book: Review pages 21-22. Preview (read) pages 23-24. Here is the link to listen.
3. English in Action 2: Unit 1 Workbook Packet: Write C and D on page 9 and G on page 10 practicing “there is/there are” and classroom vocabulary.
4. Finish Extra Practice #2. Choose how you want to practice each skill and write in on the chart. This is extra, not regular classwork or homework.
